CONSIGNMENT PROCESS

If you are not already a customer, we recommend you visit our store to see the style and quality of merchandise we maintain in our showroom. We arrange vignettes with high quality traditional furniture and antiques with some soft contemporary mixed in.

Consider consigning with us from the perspective of the buyer. If you found it, would you consider your item(s) to be of good quality and in good condition? For instance, stains and tears are unacceptable and dated merchandise typically will not be considered for consignment. Ideally, your item(s) should be no more than 3-4 years old. Generally, light woods do not sell as well as darker finishes. In the category of accessories (example pillows, bedding and rugs), please insure they are clean and in good shape and taste - no animal hair please. Also, rugs must be dark in overall color. Light rugs show dirt and will not be considered. We require pictures to be taken simply because no customer would consider merchandise sight unseen. Upon approval, these images need to be in your file for tracking and on sight identification purposes and possibly posting on our website.

To know and follow this basic criteria will better insure that your decision to consign is valid and based on realistic expectations. Otherwise, call 972-991-6268 and speak with the owner (Marianne) to arrange a time that you both can meet here in our store to discuss your merchandise. Where possible, please be prepared to provide the following information:

a. When the item(s) were purchased.

b. Where the item(s) were purchased.

c. What amount was paid for each item.

d. Any history on your item(s) that would attract interest.
